Always watch out for intruders...

Hank went crazy tonight when he saw a squirrel in the yard. It reminded me that Hank was just watching out for us and making sure nothing/no one was in our yard that wasn't suppose to be. Which reminds me, Aunt Jessie and Uncle Joey both have new houses, therefore a refresher course on safety won't hurt. :)
1. Always lock your door when you leave the house
2. If you give a friend a copy of the house key, make sure you trust them
3. Put your sticker name on all your high dollar items : radio, cd, computer
4. Don't tell anyone where you keep your money or valuables
5. Travel with someone else after dark
6. When leaving the work parking lot after dark, keep your phone in your hand and ask a coworker to watch you out
7. Park next to a street light at work when working night shifts
8. Raid is a cheaper option to pepper spray!
9. Put a ICE number in your phone
10. Pay attention to your surroundings.

Videos from the weekend...

Hank swimming! He has so much energy!

Grandpa couldn't resist and had to have Hanky on his boat.... of course Hank stood out like a sore thumb. Oh and this may be the last time you see the pontoon - there is a hole in it , and yesterday the boat started to sink - literally! Grandpa said he can fix it with a cork, we will see!

Hank and Joe fighting in the water!

At any moment...

Your health could change.

This weekend we went to the lake and had a good time - the sun was hot, and the beer was cold. After six hours of being on the lake, and docking the boat - a friend called in need of a tow on the lake. Joe ran down the hill at the cottage, and his leg got caught on a chair - and he tripped and feel on his knee. When he feel down- he keys and wallet flew up in the air, and luckily didnt get lost in the lake. Joe's kneecap poped out of place and Joe was screaming from pain. After the moment passed, a big debate was whether or not Joe needed to go to the ER. He was obviously in a lot of pain, but I guess not enough to pay for help. Joe poped the knee back into place himself and decided ibuprofen would be enough to take the edge off. The worse part of this situation in my eyes, would have been if Joe had to have surgery and laid up for a month. In Joe's eyes, the worst part would have been missing IU's opening game this Thursday. Of course, as life is beautiful - things worked out ok- and actually probably happened for a reason - it gave us time to slow down for a day and just relax. It just goes to show you at any moment your health could change -therefore, thank God everyday for your good health and abilities.
