Tornado Burger
ace: What was going through your mind?
Hubbard: That I’m fixing to die.
Pace: Hubbard was thinking about making a run for the house but his friend talked him out of it.
Hubbard: I was scared. I was fixing to eat a hamburger and it took it! And I don’t even know where it’s at.
Pace: (incredulous) It took the hamburger right out of your hand?
Hubbard: Hamburger, fries and drink. I don’t know where it’s at
On a serious note those storms caused some massive damage as the report indicated. We wish the best for the families who suffered at the hands of the brutal weather. You can see the full report filed by Meg Pace for WAPT here.
UPDATE: Meg was kind enough to let us know that, “Amazingly everyone was ok in our area of Mississippi. Just structural (and burger) losses.” As a diligent reporter does she is on her way to catch up with Eric.

Funny for the day...
Dear Mrs. Jones,
I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer.
I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it.
Her picture doesn't show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot.
From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Smith

Weekend Recap
Joe and I were able to watch some of Shrek 3 in 3D - it's pretty amazing.
Joe and Tyson played Mr. Fix it - and fixed a number of things : the toilet, new shower head, and put up a new tv.
This Kid, Jack - is a little angel. He is growing up to be a little man, and has his own agenda now and knows what he wants and doesn't want. This weekend we discovered his love for Justin Bieber - literally "Bieber Fever." Jack no longer likes "itsy bitsy spider", and "wheels on the bus" music - he prefers Justin Bieber and Ludacris. Kady put kid songs on her IPAD and he would cry and make the "ut-uh" motion, but then Justin would come on the computer and he would be in a trance and love every second. It was a riot!

Bass Pro
Guess whose birthday it is today?????
Our little angel is 22 today! Tonight we are having a birthday party for him and both sets of grandparents are coming over. I am making sloppy "hanks" , with chips , and ice cream sandwiches for dessert. Now that Hank is 22 - he cant wait to go out to bars with his Aunt Jessie and Uncle Joey.

... BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM EST /NOON CST/ THIS AFTERNOON TO 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ WEDNESDAY... ... THIS REPLACES THE WINTER STORM WARNING...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTHERN INDIANA HAS ISSUED A BLIZZARD WARNING... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM EST /NOON CST/ THIS AFTERNOON TO 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ WEDNESDAY. THIS REPLACES THE WINTER STORM WARNING.
* TIMING... AFTER A SHORT LULL IN SNOW THIS MORNING... SNOW WILL EXPAND IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY THIS AFTERNOON. SNOW WILL CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON... ENDING WEDNESDAY EVENING. WINDS WILL INCREASE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT... WITH THE STRONGEST WINDS EXPECTED OVERNIGHT.
* MAIN IMPACT... SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 6 TO 18 INCHES ARE EXPECTED... WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS IN NORTHWEST INDIANA AND SOUTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH WILL CREATE DANGEROUS CONDITIONS... WITH ZERO VISIBILITIES IN BLOWING SNOW AT TIMES AND SIGNIFICANT DRIFTING. SNOW DRIFTS OF 4 TO 8 FEET WILL BE POSSIBLE IN MANY OPEN AREAS.
* OTHER IMPACTS... TRAVEL WILL BE HIGHLY IMPACTED WITH HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW CREATING VERY DANGEROUS CONDITIONS. HIGHWAY CREWS WILL LIKELY HAVE A HARD TIME KEEPING UP WITH THE CONDITIONS... LEADING TO SEVERAL ROAD CLOSURES. UNNECESSARY TRAVEL SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. POWER OUTAGES WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE DUE TO WET HEAVY SNOW AND GUSTY WINDS.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A BLIZZARD WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW WITH STRONG WINDS AND POOR VISIBILITIES ARE LIKELY. THIS WILL LEAD TO WHITEOUT CONDITIONS... MAKING TRAVEL EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. DO NOT TRAVEL. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL... HAVE A WINTER SURVIVAL KIT WITH YOU. IF YOU GET STRANDED... STAY WITH YOUR VEHICLE.
I'm not -call me crazy- but I'm just not worried about this "blizzard." I think it is an excuse for everyone to miss a day of work - and I am not happy about it.
Life Lesson: Some things are over-rated.
